Where to Place It:

  • Edge of the Paddle: Apply the tape around the edge for balanced weight distribution, which enhances stability.
  • Top of the Paddle: Place the tape at the top for added power on drives.
  • Sides of the Paddle: Add tape to the sides to improve control and maneuverability.

Edge Guard Tape

Edge guard tape is designed to protect your paddle from the inevitable bumps and scrapes that occur during intense matches. By safeguarding the paddle's edges, you can prolong its lifespan and maintain peak performance.

Benefits:

  • Protection from Damage: Prevents chips, cracks, and dents on the paddle's edge caused by accidental contact with the court or other hard surfaces.

  • Overlap Slightly: If necessary, overlap the tape slightly at the end to ensure full coverage.

For best results, clean the paddle's edge before application to ensure the tape adheres properly.

Undergrips

An undergrip adds an extra layer of cushioning and increases the handle's thickness, which can significantly enhance comfort and control. It's especially beneficial for players with larger hands or those who prefer a softer feel.

  • Starting Point: Begin at the bottom of the handle, securing the tapered end of the undergrip with your thumb.
  • Wrapping Technique: Wrap the grip upward around the handle in a spiral, overlapping each layer by about 1/8 inch (3mm) for consistent thickness.
  • Finishing Up: Once you reach the top, secure the end with finishing tape to prevent unraveling.

Ensure the wrap is tight and even to prevent any slipping during play.

Overgrips (3 Pack)

Overgrips provide a fresh, tacky surface that enhances your hold on the paddle, essential for maintaining control during fast-paced rallies. They also absorb moisture, keeping your grip dry and secure.

  • Improved Grip: The tacky surface ensures a non-slip hold, even when your hands are sweaty.
  • Moisture Absorption: Keeps your hands dry, preventing the paddle from slipping during crucial moments.

Where to Place It:

Apply the overgrip on top of the undergrip (or existing grip) for maximum effectiveness:

  • Preparation: Remove any old overgrip to start with a clean surface.
  • Starting Point: Begin at the butt end of the handle, securing the tapered end of the overgrip.
  • Wrapping Technique: Wrap the overgrip upward in a spiral motion, overlapping each layer by about 1/16 inch (1.5mm). Adjust the overlap to control the grip's thickness.
  • Finishing Up: Upon reaching the top, use the included finishing tape to secure the end firmly.

Replace the overgrip regularly, especially when it shows signs of wear or loses its tackiness, to maintain optimal grip and control.
